Freshservice for MSPs integration with Google Calendar allows you to sync the task and ticket events in Freshservice for MSPs with your Google Calendar (in real-time). This allows you to effectively track the schedules of your service desk activities. With this integration, you can add new ticket-related tasks as well as update the existing ticket-related tasks to sync with your Google Calendar.

Prerequisites for integration

Ensure you have the following, as part of the prerequisites for integration:

  • An active Google account with administrator privileges.

  • Account administrator privileges within Freshservice for MSPs to initiate the integration.


Install the app

  1. Login to your Freshservice for MSPs account.

  2. Go to Admin > Automation & Productivity > Extensibility > Apps.

  3. Or, click the Marketplace Apps icon on the top-right corner, and select Marketplace Apps.



  1. Search and select the Google Calendar app using the Search apps option.



  1. Click Install on the installation page.

  2. Sign in using your Google account credentials to complete the authentication process.

  3. (If applicable) Review permissions and click Accept on the Permissions requested page.

  4. On the Select items to sync with Google Calendar page, select the Tasks or Tickets checkbox (or both) based on the events you want to sync with the Google Calendar.



  1. Click Enable / Update.


Add tasks to calendar

After integration, agents can add new or existing ticket-related tasks to the Google Calendar.


To add tasks to the calendar:

  1. Login to your Freshservice for MSPs account.

  2. Go to Tickets > List.

  3. Click any ticket Subject to open the ticket details page.

  4. Go to the Tasks tab.

  5. Click any existing task to view its details on the right pane. Then, click the  icon on the selected task section to edit the task.

  6. Or, click Add task if you want to add a new task to the ticket.

  7. Add or update relevant details for the new or existing task.

  8. Ensure Add to google calendar checkbox is enabled.



  1. Click Update or Save.


After a task is saved or updated, details of the calendar event are added to the Agent’s Google Calendar (as shown in the following figure) along with an email notification.
